Dr Thomas Heseltine is a consultant cardiologist working at Wirral University Teaching Hospital. He completed his medical degree with honours at the University of Liverpool in 2010. He has a specialist interest in cardiac CT and cardiac MRI.
In 2018 Dr Heseltine commenced his PhD programme at the University of Liverpool. The key areas of research involved the development of cardiovascular disease in patients living with HIV. This PhD programme has led to multiple publications and development of other key areas including the physiology of energy storage and metabolism. These research interests have allowed Tom to develop an specific interest in prevention of disease with focus on nutrition, metabolism and exercise.
